WELCOME TO THE WORLD, LITTLE ONE
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Well lady, I have a sweet surprise to share!
On 3rd September 2018, at exactly 12.30pm, my beautiful son was born!
I cannot believe Stan and I are parents! We are over the moon and so humbled that we have this gift. We are now a family of 3!
For some this news may come as a complete surprise, however, my husband desired that we keep the pregnancy private until birth, and of course, I wanted to respect his wishes. Not announcing it actually made the experience for me even more beautiful because I was really able to savour the moments, without any pressure or expectation to post.
My labour story was interesting. What can I really say about childbirth apart from the fact that it is THE MOST intense thing a woman can go through. Both challenging and beautiful feelings all rolled into one. My labour in itself wasn't terribly long (12 hours in total) however I was having contractions for a whole week before the actual day came.
When the day finally arrived I was absolutely exhausted, after several trips to the hospital, going through intense contractions, only to be told that I was not dilated at all. My pregnancy went all the way to the end (42 + weeks) and I was so ready to have him out!
Baby boy is now 3 months old and as you might expect, the past few weeks have been intensely stretching and eye opening for both Stan and I- physically, mentally and emotionally as we work on adjusting to parenthood for the first time.
My days consist mostly of feeding, resting, playing and me staring at my beautiful son ALL DAY! Every feature is just perfect (insert hearts eyes lol). I just cannot believe that he is finally here. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I became so anxious to just meet him and see what he would look like, and now I get to enjoy him 24/7, plus finally sleep on my back and stomach!
I am really excited to share more so stay tuned for more posts as I continue to learn and evolve as a mother!
For now here is a picture of my beautiful boy when he was a few weeks old!
